How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Ticket Holder. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

In Person Draft
New partner will participate in an In Person Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. If a partner cannot attend a date, efforts shall be made to ensure partners picks are fairly selected (for example, ability to call in selection, or the option to send another person to make picks). Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

I would like to make an offer, but the minimum is currently 20 games. Can you lower the minimum please so I can make an offer for 11 games? Thank you!
  • Let me have them edit it. They said it had been changed. Probably will not happen until tomorrow at this point.

Hey Rick. I thought I had responded yesterday, but I don't see it, so I'll send again. I understand that someone taking the 21 games would work out best for your group. You've got a great system set up for your draft. That said, 21 games is just too many for me. I hope to get into a group I can stay with long term, and I know that 27 was too many for me, which is why I left the group I was in after several years. I would be happy to do 11 games, so you'd have a block of 10 left and you wouldn't have to worry about picking up that spare game. I did ask about the food/drink credit. Someone told me they thought Club level tickets usually include that. Not a big deal one way or the other--just curious actually. I totally understand if my proposal doesn't work for you. I think you said you haven't had your tickets listed very long. If you want to see if someone picks up the full 21 and get back to me if no one does, that's fine.
  • Donna: I did answer your question back but it says "pending review". I wrote a novel. Let's see if it gets released from review before I post anything again. I answered all of your questions above.

I'm not sure if this is going to show up as a reply to your response or just post as another question. I'm really only interested in 10 games. I was a 27 game partner a few years ago, and that was too many games for me. Ten would be the sweet spot, I think. I'm sure your draft process would be fine for me. It sounds like you've thought through it to try to make it fair for everyone, and I'm honestly not too picky. I just like a variety between day/night and week day/weekend games. Is the parking pass part of the ticket cost? Is there a food allowance built in as well? A friend told me that is often the case on the Club level.
  • I sent a longer post from your recent question.....so all is included in that. Hopefully you receive that one.

Unsure what this statement means: Open to one person taking 21 games or two (2) people with one ten (10) game segment each. I would be interested in two tickets for one ten game segment. Is that possible?
  • Hello Donna. Our initial preference is to have one person take the 21 games available. I will discuss with the other person who has the 27 games and get their feedback. We just listed out this offer a week ago. Are you okay with the way we do our draft? We would have to come up with a different formula with two 10 game partners. But not impossible of course. Let me know on the 21 games. ...or if 10 games is what you feel comfortable with. Thanks.

Can you explain the 2 people with one 10 game segment? Would I be able to purchase 2 tickets for 10 games? The listing mentions a parking pass. Is that extra? Thank you!
  • Donna: Hello. Currently there are two people with this set of tickets. Myself (35 games), another guy (27 games), and we lost our other partner who had 21 games. We would prefer to have one person come in and replace the partner with 21 games. However, if that does not come to fruition then we would entertain two people at 10 games each and we would take on the other one game. So if you would like to consider the 21 games as well. Just something to think about. Parking in Lot C is included for all the games. I know my listing had a lot of information and could be confusing with the long novel I wrote. Ha. But I wanted to make sure the draft portion is understood. Recently, was with a group of season ticket holders and it seems there are many different ways people draft. So wanted to make sure I am not clear as mud how we do ours. We all agree to what games are "Prime Games" before the draft. It may be 3 series or 6 depending on who is on the schedule. Those games usually are: Yankees, Red Sox, Rangers, and the like. After that allotment is drafted we draft all remaining weekend games (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). The last portion of the draft are all remaining weekday games (Monday-Thursday). We have found that way not one person is weighted down with games that are not as desirable as the others so all can enjoy the "good" games. Currently, we have a weighted draft system based on the number of games you purchase: Not to get into an Algebra class here but here is how it is now with 21 games. We would have 7 rounds of this allotment. 35 games - 5 27 games - 4 21 games - 3 Each round games would be picked in this order 1 - 35,27,21 2 - 35,27,21 3 - 35,27,21 4 - 35,27 5 - 35 So if you agree to the 21 games you would be picking 3 games in each round of the 7. I hope that makes sense. One more note. We paid a seat license for these seats last year (A cost for the right to buy the tickets - $6,000...that goes to the Astros). This area of seating had that additional costs to it initially. However, it was a one time fee and whoever comes on to take these 21 games will not have to pay any of that amount to be in the group. Hopefully that answers your questions. Feel free to send anymore clarifications you need. Rick
